Virtual Author Talk: Sarah Symons: Overview

Sarah is the Founder and President of Her Future Coalition, an international nonprofit organization fighting human trafficking and other severe forms of gender violence. She joined the Westwood Public Library on November 18, 2021 to talk about her latest book, written with Anjali Tamang, Standing in the Way: from Trafficking Survivor to Human Rights Activist.  

Prior to starting Her Future Coalition, Sarah worked as a composer of TV music, and as a recording artist. She is passionate about using the arts for healing, collaboration, and creating prosperity for the world’s most vulnerable women. She is the mother of two college age children and married to John Berger, who is the co-founder of Her Future Coalition.
