During this time, home and gardening became the most popular growing hobby, inspiring many to reconnect with nature in a healthy and entertaining setting. From the experienced green thumb to the budding grower, vegetable and floral bed building became the top recreational activity for those wanting to expand their horticultural knowledge, exercise or find a therapeutic means of relaxation. All of these factors influenced the Westwood Public Library to host a gardening video series where viewers could learn a few tips and tricks of the trade to assist patrons with their personal landscaping.
