Welcome to the Adult Summer Reading Challenge at the Westwood Public Library!
Our goal: Make reading a habit. Log each day that you read this summer, and remember: audiobooks count too.
How to get started: There are two ways to participate: on the Beanstack App or on paper. Log in or sign up with the Beanstack app and register for the 2025 Reading Road Trip Challenge OR grab a paper entry form each week and color in a circle for every day you read. Drop off your weekly paper logs in the designated boxes by Monday at noon to be considered for the previous week’s drawing.
What's in it for you? Enlightenment of course! But also: the chance to win prizes. Each week , we will be giving away a Westwood Library mini swag bag. At the end of the summer, we will draw two grand prize winners who will win a Kindle and other bookish goods.
Wondering if you can still read whatever you want? Of course! But if you are looking for some fun reading prompts and an extra challenge, follow our Reading Road Map (under the Activities tab in Beanstack) and increase your chances of winning a grand prize basket!
Prizes, you say? Yes! We will have weekly prizes as well as two grand prize baskets.
Weekly prizes: For ten weeks throughout the summer, we will draw a winner to receive a mini Westwood Public Library swag bag featuring an exclusive Read Next insulated wine tumbler, stickers, and another bookish surprise. For every week that you log your reading, you will be automatically entered in this raffle. For those of you participating on paper, remember to turn in your log by Saturday of every week to be considered.
Grand Prizes: At the end of the summer, we will draw two Grand Prize Basket winners. One name will be drawn from everyone who participated in the challenge this summer and one will be drawn exclusively from everyone who participated in the Reading Road Map activities. The Grand Prize baskets will feature Kindles, as well as an exciting array of bookish and practical goodies.
