Twister DanceThis is what you get when you cross a Twister mat with dance lessons, and it's pretty good. The concept is simple: Pop the DVD in the machine, lay out the 2.5-foot square mat in front of the TV, and dance following the onscreen prompts. In Learn mode, an animated choreographer shows you the moves step by step. The 40 dance lessons start slow and simple and gently add complexity. Dance mode increases the tempo and strings the individual moves into a dance routine. Finally, a party mode provides and music and lights without the prompting or examples, but you can only get there after completing the other modes. It's an energetic single-player game, and the instructions suggest rules for making it a competitive game. The mats clearly mark out step zones and are close enough to be within easy reach for anyone taller than about 4 feet. Unlike Twister, though, this game makes sure that you're in no close proximity to other players, which is a good thing since all eyes are focused either on the TV or on floor mats while arms and legs flail. Inside the box you'll find the DVD, instruction booklet, and four non-slip dance mats.
